When you find something that works!! Lapbooks are a HUGE hit in our house. We had a wedding to go to out of town this weekend. We left Thursday evening and didn't return until today. It was a great time and we spent some wonderful time with friends that are basically family. Anywho, we finished up the things we were working on Thursday and took Friday and today off from school. On the way home (a 3 1/2 hour drive), Eathan starts asking if we're having school tomorrow! WHAT?!?! I couldn't believe he was starting to miss school. We get home and spend some time with Daddy, who didn't get to go b/c of work, and got settled home. Daddy went to sleep for work tomorrow and Eathan immediately asks if he can play with his book. His All About Me Lapbook. I, of course, agreed. He looked through it and was reviewing all of the little bit of information in it. Garrett then asked for his Cars Tot Book. They both enjoyed reviewing and looking through their little books!! I was so excited that we have started this and can see that it's a great fit for us. We have went from asking Eathan to do school to Eathan asking if he gets to do school the next day!! It's a WONDERFUL feeling and I'm just so proud. *sigh* Life is good!! :)
We start our Solar System/Space/Planets/Whatever it rolls into (LOL) Lapbook tomorrow. I can't wait and we have more books about it waiting for us at the library. I have a feeling this is going to be so much fun.
