Workbox Craze

I caught it! hee hee I was bitten by the workbox bug. I did not buy the ebook, but I was sucked in by my board buddies. I knew that I didn't want to implement the entire system so I pondered on it for a bit. I wanted to come up with a solution that would benefit my family but still follow the basic idea. Doug, Eathan, and I sat and discussed possibilities. We decided to plan out his day like a route with different stops for a delivery driver. I got to work. I knew I wanted him to have his 12 stops which would be the 12 assignments throughout the day. I made buildings and numbered each one.

I did 12 different colored numbered buildings. I made a pit stop and a gas pump for his breaks and snack. I also used road from a digi scrap kit. I used a church for his Bible time and the flag is a reminder for the pledge. I got it all cut and laminated and arranged on the board. Eathan helped stick some of the buildings. :) He's so excited about this!

The finished board.

He's going to move his truck through each stop until he reaches the checkered flag. Instead of filling boxes to correspond, I'm going to try out making myself a "route" each day. I'll number Eathan's assignments/activities to match in his folder. Then we'll go through the route. I'll put a little note in his folder for the different activities.

We start tomorrow, so any bugs we'll work out as we go. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now I just hope the rest of it goes as planned. lol I'll keep you posted. :)
